How do I setup and use the Room Reservation Tablet App

The Deskworks Room Reservation Tablet App lets you display a room’s daily reservations on a tablet placed next to the space. Members can also book the room directly from the tablet.


Note: This feature is available on the Pro Plan. If you’d like access or want to learn more about upgrading, submit a support ticket and our team will be happy to help.


The app shows:

  • A calendar view of the day across the top 
  • Upcoming reservation details including time, member name or company, and optional title
  • A MAKE A RESERVATION button that lets members login and create a new booking



What You’ll Need

  1. A tablet that can download apps from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Wi-Fi or wired internet connection 
  3. Power source or long-life battery 


How to Set Up the Reservation Tablet App

  1. Download the Deskworks app from the App Store or Google Play on your tablet. If your workspace uses a private-labeled version of the app, download that instead. 
  2. Open the app and search for your location. 
  3. Sign in as an Administrator
  4. Go to SETUP > RESERVATION TABLET SETUP
  5. From the dropdown menus: 
    • Select the Reservation Category
    • Select the Reservation Unit (the specific room the tablet is next to). 
    • Tap START to launch the display. 


Note: To change the settings later, tap the MAKE A RESERVATION button on the tablet and log in as an Administrator.
