White Label Settings (the appearance of My Deskworks)

Modified on Sat, 26 Oct at 5:19 PM

One of the major benefits of Deskworks is that we allow you to extensively brand your Deskworks site, and this is done via the Setup>White Label Settings area. This page has three sections:

Colors/Other:

image

Colors: Clicking on the circle in any of these lines allows you to customize the colors in Deskworks.

imageYou can set the colors via clicking anywhere in the color gradient area, or by plugging in the color code in the text field at the bottom of the pop-out window.

Be sure to note the slider tool on the right in the above screenshot. This slider controls Opacity, or how transparent or solid colors are. If you are having issues with areas of your screens (such as the Banner Image at the top of each page) having all or portions of it blocked out, try coming to this page and setting the Opacity of the area to the very bottom of the slider. This will make the color completely transparent.

Links:

This section controls how various fields in your Deskworks system display, or otherwise what URL’s certain links lead to. They break down as follows:

imageCompany Name: The way you format your Company Name in this field is how it will appear throughout your system (on outgoing emails, etc.).

Homepage URL: Your logo in the upper left corner of the screen is actually a clickable link. If clicked, it will lead to the URL you enter in this field. We recommend making this lead to your homepage URL.

Member Directory URL: If you have a third party social media or other member directory service you use and would like to have a link to that third party on all member profiles, enter that URL here.

Contact Link URL: At the bottom of the left menu where an Admin sees a link for “Support”, members will instead see a link that says “Contact”. If they click this link they will be sent to whatever URL you enter here.

Terms of Service link URL: During Self-Registration new members will be prompted to check a box to agree to your terms/contract/agreement/etc. In this field you can enter either a URL that you host yourself where you can post your terms/agreement, or if you have your terms/agreement in a PDF format you can click the “PDF” link, upload the file to Deskworks and we will host it for you. Whichever you choose, new members will see a link next to their checkbox to agree which, if clicked, will let them view your terms/agreement document.

Terms of Service Link Text: This field is related to the Terms of Service Link URL. In this field you can enter the words you want to represent the clickable link that leads your terms/agreement document. For example, if you call your terms/agreement your “Terms of Service” you can enter that label here and then “Terms of Service” will appear next to the checkbox on the self-registration pages. If you call your terms/agreement “Terms and Conditions” you would enter that, etc.

Reservation Agreement Link URL: During bookings made via the Book It Now calendar (see URL #4 on the How Do I Set Up Links to Deskworks Features on my Website?) non-members will be required to agree to a set of terms or other agreement by checking a box before they can continue. In this field you can enter either a URL that you host yourself where you can post your terms/agreement, or if you have your terms/agreement in a PDF format you can click the “PDF” link, upload the file to Deskworks and we will host it for you. Whichever you choose, non-members booking will see a link next to their checkbox to agree which, if clicked, will let them view your terms/agreement document.

Reservation Agreement Link Text: This field is related to the Reservation Agreement Link URL.

Logos/Banner:

This area allows you to change/update your logos and top banner in Deskworks at your discretion. The logos and other images are:

imageScreen Logo: This is the logo image that appears in the upper left corner of the Deskworks screen.

Printable Logo: This is the logo that will appear on any outgoing emails sent by Deskworks.

Application Icon: This icon will be the icon representing the mobile Deskworks app if you use it, or otherwise appear as the small tab image if viewing Deskworks in a browser.

Top Banner Image: This is the banner image at the top of each Deskworks page. You can choose the colors and box shapes in your instance of Deskworks. You can also upload the top banner photo and logos for both web and print (invoices, etc.).

In White Label Settings, the Tool Tips explain the function and sizes for each item. For colors, type in the RGBA color #. Feel free to test and play around with each section. Just keep track of the RGBA color #s you may want to use.
