Salto Door Access System

Modified on Thu, 31 Oct at 6:02 PM

Deskworks integration with Salto automates SaltoKS door lock access for new members (and non-members for reservations). The integration provides the following features:

  • When a new member is created in Deskworks, they are given the correct access level in Salto, based on their Membership Plan (Recurring Billing,) enabling them to unlock doors as appropriate.

  • If any changes are made in their Member Profile (new co-member, profile edits, activation or inactivation), any relevant changes are pushed to Salto.

  • If a reservation is made, the correct access to door locks is given from 1/2 hour before the reservation to 1/2 hour after.

To setup the Salto KS integration:

  • Create site(s) and access groups in your SALTO KS account.

  • Go to Deskworks>Setup>Integrations Setup

    • Sign into your SALTO KS account

    • Assign one SALTO KS site to each of your centers

  • Go to Deskworks>Inventory>Products

    • Assign one or more SALTO KS access groups to each Membership Product

  • Go to Deskworks>Inventory>Reservation Units

    • Assign one or more SALTO KS access groups to each Reservation Unit

  • That's all. Deskworks will synchronize users and their access groups with SALTO KS automatically.

Note: If you have multiple centers, make your first center ACTIVE at the top of the Sidebar and attach the Salto access groups to Membership Products and Rental Units. Then make the next center ACTIVE and repeat the process. The system accepts different access groups based on the Deskworks Active Center and the connected Salto KS Site.

Three integration cases by user type:

  1. Non-member doesn't have SALTO KS access groups assigned by default. When a non-member makes a reservation, SALTO KS access groups are dynamically assigned 15min before reservation start and are removed 15min after reservation end, based on the access group that is assigned to the particular Reservation Unit.

  2. Members have SALTO KS access groups assigned permanently according to their active Recurring Billings. The correct KS Access Group is attached to the Membership Product that is included in the Member’s Recurring Billing.

  3. Co-members have all SALTO KS access groups of their master members.
